Last Update há 2 anos
Before you can use the Notary Hub platform by Everything Legal, you will need to be currently commissioned as a traditional notary.
Note: If you do not already have a notary license, you will need to complete that as your first step. You can check your current status at the TN SOS Notaries Search
Step 1: Sign-up & Create Your Account With NotaryHub.com by Everything Legal
Obtain your Digital Certificate, Electronic Signature & Digital Stamp from our partners at SSL through our all-in-one platform!
Everything legal also provides you with the required Electronic Journal for documenting your remote online notarizations.

Step 2: Review the applicable statute and rules before applying
Online notarizations are governed by several new rules and statutes as well as the existing notary rules.
The enacting statute is the Online Notary Public Act, TCA 8-16-301 et.seq.
New Department of State Rules explaining the duties and responsibilities of online notaries as well as the procedures for applying can be found in Chapter 1360-07-03.
Step 3: Get the required information and documentation from Notary Hub - Your RON vendor
You must provide copies of materials from your Notary Hub RON profile with your application.
To complete the online notary application, you will be required to provide the following information and documentation:
- The name of your vendor (Notary Hub by EverythingLegal) and a description of the technologies (Cloud-Based RON platform) it uses to provide the services
- An explanation of the method or technology you will use to maintain an electronic notary journal (Cloud-based RON platform behind a secure log in) as required by the Rules
- A copy of your unique electronic seal (You can save a PDF copy of this from your NH profile)
- A copy of your unique electronic notarial certificate that includes your electronic signature or other technology for rendering a notarized electronic document tamper-evident (You can apply your digital certificate & electronic signature to a document within a test signing session, in order to save a PDF version to submit with your application)
- A copy of the instructions or techniques supplied by the vendor allowing the online notary public’s electronic notarial certificate to be read and authenticated (Review/provide the first section of this article about our electronic/digital notarial certificate provider, SSL)
- A copy of the instructions or techniques supplied by the vendor allowing the online notary public to conduct identity proofing and credential analysis (Prior to a constituent joining a session [if not personally known to the RON] they are verified via our cloud-based RON solution with our third-party vendors. ID verification and KBA is performed, analyzed, and either pass or fail)
These documents are linked for you in the respective requirements. You will attach or describe them electronically when submitting your application with the State.

Step 4: Complete the Online Notary Application & Pay the Initial Fee with the Secretary of State
To perform online notarizations, you must first receive an online notary commission issued by the Tennessee Secretary of State.
Applicants are required to set up an online account with the Secretary of State and complete the Online Notary Application.
This application must be submitted and paid online. There is an initial fee of $75.
In your application, you are required to provide the dates of your current notary public commission and expiration. These must match those on file with the Secretary of State. Your online notary commission will run concurrently with your existing notary public commission and will expire on the same day, regardless of when the online commission was granted. Should you successfully reapply to be a notary public in your county, you will then be allowed to reapply to be an online notary.
