Before you can use the Notary Hub platform by Everything Legal, you will need to be currently commissioned as a traditional notary.
Note: If you do not already have a notary license, you will need to complete that as your first step.
Steps To Become a RON in Nevada
Step 1: Sign-up & Create Your Account With NotaryHub.com by Everything Legal
Obtain your Digital Certificate, Electronic Signature & Digital Stamp from our partners at SSL through our all-in-one platform!
Everything legal also provides you with the required Electronic Journal for documenting your remote online notarizations.

Step 2: Complete the state-required eNotary training course
Sign into your account on the Secretary of State's Business Portal website, and register for the state-required eNotary training course and pay the $45 registration fee.
Nevada requires remote online Notaries to complete an eNotary training course.
It is a three-hour online course that covers the process and requirements of remote online notarizations. Topics include using audio-video communication tools to identify signers online, fees you can charge for electronic services, information required for electronic journals and the importance of eSeals and digital certificates.
The state-required training course includes an online exam. You must pass the exam with a score of 75% or higher before the Secretary of State will approve your registration as an electronic Notary.
Step 3: Complete the Secretary of State's online registration form

Before you can complete the online registration, you must create an "Exemplar" to submit with that - An "Exemplar" is just a fancy way of saying 'Example', which is exactly what it is.
The SOS of NV want to see an 'example' of your electronic signature and digital signing certificate. You complete this Exemplar within the RON Endorsement onboarding step in Notary Hub; when you select the blue button to 'complete this step' you will see the sub steps to create your exemplar. Click on each icon within the step to complete it.
**Helpful Tip: Avoid Using a Typed Signature: If you have already typed your signature in your Notary Hub profile, but the Nevada Secretary of State (SOS) has your written signature on file, they will reject any exemplar submitted with the typed signature. Go back to your My Signature & Stamp page and select to upload an image of your wet-ink signed signature to avoid this.
Plan to spend one hour completing the registration form and paying the $50 application fee. Once you get your electronic signature and electronic seal, you must upload them to the State's website along with your registration.
The Secretary of State's Office may need up to three weeks to process your information and email a confirmation that you are approved as an electronic Notary.
